Prepare for Anything, Need for Nothing

Do you remember the ice storm in the late 90’s in Ontario and Quebec? How about the blackout on the east coast? Tornadoes in Saskatchewan and Alberta? Floods in Winnipeg? Fires in B.C.?

No part of Canada is immune to emergencies. Often it won’t be the kind of things already mentioned that will catch you off guard though. It’ll be an accident at work, a layoff, an unexpected illness, a flat tire or broken water heater. Those little life trials can really ruin your day. Possibly even your year. And they happen every single day.

What have you done to prepare for the worst, other than expect the best? I’m guessing not much. I used to be like that too. But after so many years of living on the fly, only hoping things don’t go wrong, I finally learned that things do go wrong. But we can prepare and deal with them.

I’ll be doing podcasts, hopefully daily, to share my preparedness philosophies, skills, tips, anecdotes, and other things with you. Just give me a few minutes of your time, then give your family the rest of your time and you be prepared for anything and needing for nothing.
